Hugh B. Wood papers 1965-1968

Hugh B. Wood (1909-1995) was Professor Emeritus of the University of Oregon's College of Education. The collection includes papers reflecting Woods' teaching activities and his interests in the College of Education's international education program and teacher development program, as well as his interests in vocational education in Oregon, particularly the Tongue Point Job Corps Center in Astoria, Oregon. Correspondence, program guides to U.S. teachers colleges, and course syllabi document Wood's tour of U.S. education programs, 1967-1968, and the early development of an international education consortium among U.S. colleges.

Hugh Bernard Wood (1909-1995) was Professor Emeritus of the University of Oregon's College of Education. Wood was a specialist in curriculum development and served on local, state, national and international commissions for curriculum improvement. In 1955 Hugh and Helen Wood founded the American Nepal Education Foundation.
